More About Hannah

When did you know you were going to be a healthcare provider? (or why did you select a career in healthcare?)
I have known I wanted to be a healthcare provider since I was 5 years old after my dad had his first neck surgery. I cleaned the incision site, changed the dressings, and helped with exercises and comfort post-op. I knew I wanted to do something meaningful that involved problem solving and helping people feel better. A career in healthcare was the obvious choice for me!
How would you describe your approach to patient care?
I approach care from a collaborative standpoint. My goal is to extensively evaluate patients’ problems, explain treatment risks and benefits, and provide patients with all the information possible so that they can make an informed decision for themselves. It is important to me that my patients feel they are heard, respected, and empowered throughout every step of their care.
What do you want patients to know about you, your career, or your specialty?
I am extremely passionate about public health. I view medicine through both a PA and public health lens and strive to understand the unique factors at play that influence the health and wellbeing of all my patients.
