For patients, we provide specialty-trained care for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Our workers’ compensation team first considers nonsurgical treatment and will only recommend surgery as a last resort.

For employers, case managers, and claims adjusters we strive to ensure an efficient and trouble-free process in scheduling appointments and answering questions while providing assistance wherever needed.

Make a Worker's Compensation Patient Appointment

In order to accommodate you and your patients, we will provide same-day appointments. Call our office at (317) 875-9105 or (800) 888-HAND and select option “2”. Our patient representatives will work with you to schedule an appointment.

For patient emergencies call either of these numbers and select “0.” Our surgeons are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies.

If you need to speak with one of our workers’ compensation representatives, call (317) 471-4371. If our representatives are unable to take your call immediately, they will return your call quickly.

Work Status Reporting

We will work closely with you to ensure timely communication regarding your patients’ care at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center.

Our work status form will be sent to your workers’ compensation case manager in less than 24 hours of seeing your patient.

Independent Medical Evaluations (IME)

Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center’s board-certified surgeons are often asked to provide comprehensive independent medical evaluations for injuries and conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Evaluations are conducted to determine if prior diagnosis and treatment were accurate and whether further care/treatment may be necessary.

For more information call our office at (317) 875-9105 or (800) 888-HAND and select option “2.”

Continuing Education for Worker's Compensation Representatives

The Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center is dedicated to providing ongoing continuing education.

Each year we conduct seminars on topics related to the upper extremity which are geared toward workers’ compensation professionals, such as case managers, physicians, nurses, employers, and insurance carrier representatives.

Seminar topics vary and we are typically able to provide continuing education credits through The Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC).
