Nancy M. Cannon, O.T.R., C.H.T.

Meet our Director of the Hand to Shoulder Therapy Center

Nancy M. Cannon has served as our Director at the Hand to Shoulder Therapy Center for more than 28 years. She directs and supervises 14 occupational therapists and directs clinical care and the hand therapy research program. She is an advocate for medical education and has been published in numerous peer-reviewed publications. She has also served as the meeting chairperson for the "Hand Care: Clinical Approaches to Rehabilitation for the Upper Extremity" national biannual meeting (sponsored by the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center) since 1984.

Nancy has been an active charter member of the American Society of Hand Therapists since 1981 and has served in leadership positions for the society for more than 10 years. She was the 1989 president of the American Society of Hand Therapists and the 1992 recipient of the Natalie Barr Lectureship award for outstanding contributions to the field of hand therapy. She currently serves Chairman of the American Hand Therapy Foundation, Vice President of the Hand Therapy Certification Commission, and as board member for the National Board of Accreditation for Orthotic Suppliers.
